Somebody's Mom.....slightly OT

I got a interesting call today from a very nice lady. She was looking for shaving stuff for her son and had detailed questions her son had e-mailed on what vendors to visit and what types of items to ask for. He had done his homework, made nice selections and gave his Mom the numbers and links where to find everything leaving the details of what to get to her.

I have to say this was such a heartwarming conversation hearing from a Mom so eager to give her son such a nice gift. I talked with her for a good half hour, taught her what I could so she picked some nice things from me and another popular vendor. Made me think back on how my Mom would do this very same thing for me when I was his age and made me think of the sacrifices I make for my daughter as well. I no longer have either of my parents so this conversation really touched my heart.

I know her son will find this post. Buddy, you have one great Mom there and you had better find something REALLY, REALLY nice for her for Xmas or I'm putting a curse on that strop! <g>

That's my mom man. Wow I have to say that it was great to hear she could do something for you because she is so wonderful to me. My parents are awesome and are so proud of me. I am in college and we are just your ordinary middle class family so no financial aid from the government or anything so I've been working my way through school getting good grades living on my own and they just do whatever they can for me when they can and I love them for that. I appreciate you helping her. I wrote you a PM about the pre-honed razors you were gonna have on your site next week and figured you would be a pretty nice guy at helping her put some stuff together. I'm really excited for Christmas I love giving gifts to my friends and family and seeing their faces. You kind of touched on it in your post but I think we get so caught up in getting things and helping ourselves that we forget the sacrafices and things our parents, families, and friends do to please us not just during the holidays but anytime. Thanks again man.

Very funny guys. Despite that I'm in college I'm pretty sure I can handle a few nicks and cuts and won't need a slide rule to figure out how to use the straight. However, I appreciate you guys looking out for the poor poor college kid lol. I'm 23 by the way so not too much of a kid. Thanks again guys and great job with the forum and stuff so far. Well fact of the matter is I do pay my own rent and for most of my tution other than scholarships. I do work fulltime. So I guess that means you can get rid of my kid title lol:nj :nj :nj
