Learn "wet shaving" with a DE, then graduate to the SR.
30 days into DE shaving and razor/blade collecting, I dug up a vintage SR that i bought at an estate sale with no real reason in mind...
Pulled the SR out and cleaned it up _to sell_ really. But then i learned how to strop it, how to hone it. And discovered that it was ready to rock.
So I'm starting each shave with the SR and finishing up with the DE's. It's great how much one teaches you about the other.
