Genco Safege Razor "$pear"
I just picked this razor up at a local antique shop. I will post a few pics once I get it a little presentable. What caught my eye was the case or coffin. It snaps shut, beside the razor it has one double edge blade by Waltham. And two blades that I cannot figure out, they look like samples of a straight razor blade. They both say Safedge-Model B Geneva Cutlery Corp Geneva NY U.S.A.
The straight razor scale is an almost see thru red (I can see the blade inside) with the word Spear (the S looks like a dollar symbol $). I think the tang say Peter J. Michels it has some other word I cannot make out just yet. I do see a symbol that looks like a bell with an arrow.
The case only has the word Genco on the snaps.
The blade has some active rust but I think it will clean up, will not know until I have a go at it.
Any info you gentlemen can provide will be interesting to hear.

Believe what you have is a straight plus parts of two other razors. The DE blade. And the blade holder part for the Safege razor. The Safege was a 20's blade holding handle. The razor slid into the handle and there was a little knob that was slide to eject the dull blade. Cool!

The razor itself looks real pretty I'd keep her.... just my 2 cents.
