Default Have a hard time on the chin!

Hey guys I'm a newbie SRS with about 10 shaves under my belt and I'm finding I'm having a real hard time on the chin. Even with a Mac3 i always had a hard time getting a BBS shave under my lip and around the base of my chin and that was one of the reasons I switched to the SR. I find ATG getts me the closest but then the next day its Ingrown Hairs gallore! Any advice or is my facial hair just too tough to trim close in that area?

Welcome to SRP. I think all of us have a tougher time on the knob of the chin, especially in the beginning. In my first couple of weeks, or maybe a month, I used my DE to get the chin. As time went on and my skills, blade angle, stretching skin, and angle of attack improved, my shaves with a straight razor got better in all areas. Keeping the angle shallow (almost flat) on the chin area, and try different stretches too.

I always have a hard time right under the edge of the chin. I find using cross hands works the best.

It will take time, your chin has alot of muscle, you need to use that muscle in concert with the blade,it will come.
