Welcome to SRP.
Start with a lot of reading, specificly all the subjects in this search of the Library, the Beginner Tips, and do a search for any specific equipment you like. Also ask any questions you have.

Welcome to SRP.
Have you looked here yet ? Straight Razor Place Wiki - Straight Razor Place Wiki
Take your time & research well. You can then form specific questions to help you along.
Welcome! Keep reading here as much as you can. The link oni posted. Do not buy a razor until you do research. You want to find one that has been professionally honed as most don't come from the factory honed, even good ones. Watch plenty of videos too. Decide how much you want to invest and ask questions and let some of the senior members give you recommendations. Oh and get ready for a great addiction! Im a beginner too, been at it about 2 months and have already cracked out on it.
Welcome. This place has everything to get you started.
If you buy a razor + strop in the classifieds, and a cheap brush and some soap, you should be able to get started for about 100$. From that moment on, shaving becomes essentially free aside from the soap of course.
Be sure to register for the monthyl giveaway, and with some luck you can get started even cheaper.
G'day Brandyn, welcome to the forum. I believe you've already been pointed in the right direction, so I will leave it at that.

Welcome aboard!! It's great to see the young ones starting out on the "straight" path. :)
+1 to all that was said above. I would add, though, don't expect to master this overnight. Expect to put in some time learning the techniques, take your time, and most of all ..... have fun!
Welcome to the forum. The main portion of your question has been addressed so I will not parrot the same advice. I will say I will be willing to help with further questions. I would suggest that you pick up a cheap brush and start learning to lather. Van Der Hagen has a cheap brush and soap set for roundabouts $20 and can be found in wal-mart and target.
THANKS SO MUCH!
Gives "Junior Member" a new meaning.. Ha! Welcome...
