Three Weeks In
I saw another post and thought I would update my experience as well.
Love it!
When I take my time and do three passes, it is an amazing shave. I would say with the use of the pre-shave oil, the good cream, Alum Block and a little Sandalwood AS, my skin looks younger. My wife already is impressed with how great my skin looks and feels.
This is already an obsession. At first I couldn't believe there was this site and that people were actually posting about their shaves. Now, I can't wait to look at the "Shave of the Day" and read everyone's experiences...crazy!
Thanks to Larry from Whipped Dog for helping me get started with the right materials. I have the Art of Shaving products and, granted I know next to nothing, I find them great. I just received a great scuttle from Robert Becker which keeps my cream nice and warm (that's for my special Sunday shave only!). My next purchase will be a nice Silvertip Brush and then I should be set for quite awhile. I'm just enjoying the experience.

Welcome to SRP! I wish I was a quick learner like you LOL, it took me months to get consistently comfortable shaves. The shaves will only get better :)

Welcome mrdubs (or have I said that to you already?) It sounds like your on the right track. When I finally had my razor honed up properly (that's a sttory in and of itself!) I was seeing good results in that time frame as well, but it gets even better after a month or two, and better still by six months...You should be feeling like and old hand at the game by them :)!
