I think I might have a problem with the edge. While I can't see it with the naked eye, I was looking through the microscope and found one area that didn't look like the rest.
I took pics at 60x and 200x. Obviously it's tiny but I'm still wondering if it's a problem that needs to be fixed. Does it look like a chip or overhoning? Should I be able to fix it myself (only have pasted strop) or do I need to send it out to an expert?
I'd appreciate some help. Thanks.
I've known guys to be able to shave fine with something like that, but I wouldn't want to. If it doesn't cut you it will still irritate a little. I'd hone it out.

Since it's my brand new and only razor, I'm a litlle scared doing it myself. Nor I have norton stone at this point. Is it something I should be able to do with pasted paddle strop? Can I just do that one part without touching the rest of the edge? If answer to either question is no, I'm going to send it out.

I wouldn't use it like that it will cause irritation though it will cut fine. I would take X up on his offer. Don't mess with it yourself if you lack experience.
I'd consider that a chip. It's a jagged edge that'll cause irritation, as others said, and may cause some pulling at that spot on the blade. For an experienced honer it's a quick fix.
Any idea how it got there? The edge probably got banged at some point. That won't happen just from shaving.

I'm wondering if you shaved with this razor. Many times I see overanalyzing going on here particularly among newer folks and those that are just starting to get their razors sharp and are feeling out their expertise. One micro chip as seen here is usually not a problem when shaving. If you have a bunch like that next to each other you can still get a close shave, but usually not comfortable. It can certainly be honed out, but it really may not be necessary. Everyone has different approaches to honing, but at the end of the day, the comfort and closeness of the shave is what we are after.

I have shaved with the new razor. Let's just say I get much better shave with DE right now but that's absolutely due to my lack of experience and not this microchip. The chip is towards the beginning of the blade so it's doesn't even touch the face most of the time.
I think I'm going to keep shaving with it for a while and get more experience. After I get more or less satisfactory result, I might be able to tell whether the chip bothers me or not.
Actually it takes a few shaves for your face to adjust and usually a few shaves for the shaver to adjust as well. Alot of times folks use a steeper angle of attack at first and usually figure it all out as they continue to use the straight. The real key on one not being sharp is the pulling or not being able to get through a beard. If it just glides over a beard with no hair removal it's usually over honed. Then there is everything in between.

Strinctly theoretical question:
If I wanted to fix the chip, who would I go about it? Not necessarily this particular razor but just a razor with a chip. I mean if the edge is generally good but I need to fix the chip, how would I hone it without being overhoned?
And, no, I'm not planning to do it. Just wondering.
Consult yourself. Just tape the spine and work it on some 180 grit wet/dry sand-paper until the chip is gone. I took care of a 1/8" chip in about 15min. Then do a few strokes on 1000 and start honing.
I'm not sure about Lynn's pricing for major blade work, but Joe Chandler can do a re-grind for you with a honing for $25. He did a great job on a blade that wasn't chipped but had severe pitting and restoration damage issues. I will be posting pics soon.
So even the micro chip like that would basically require rebuilding an edge?
If it's visible to the naked eye, sandpaper is a must (unless you REALLY like honing). If it's not, you can fix it on Norton 4k. And get on with the pyramid.
