That is a judgement call only the potential buyer can make.

If it was the black buffalo horn, I would jump myself. I'm just not crazy of the coloring of ram horn. However, if you like the scales, and TI's are great blades, and you like it, then pull the trigger I say. It is a very nice razor no doubt.
I've got one and it is a great shaver. I especially like the point. TI calls it a "French nose" IIRC. It was worth the price to me. YMMV.
Is it just me or do the scales look a little long for the blade?
TI has found a gold mine for sure with their "wing" series of razors.
I like it. It kind of has that old west cowboy look to me.
I can't stop looking at it lol.. when i told my wife i was going into straight razor shaving it was to save money .. i told her i would only need one razor for the remainder of my life and i would be silly not to do it... Well... I never thought it would be so addicting. There is no way I'm going to save money lol... Im constantly looking for the next one lol.. I'm hooked and if anything i just found a new hobby that will run me thousands of dollars more than if i were to just use disposable razors... ah well lol.. love you hun.. haha :beer1:
I just resently picked up the Flying Eagle 7/8 in Rams Horn and I must say the scales are much better looking in person. And the size of those scales and blade is just huge .How ever it was not even close to being shave ready. Had to hit the norton 4k 8k 40 laps on the 4k 20 on the 8k 30/60 on the strop and she was ready.
man those scales are searious eye catchers !!!!!! i never even looked at the blade ...lol
I have one from the oldest series (with grey horn scales) №177.
It's great razor, very comfortable to shave with "French nose". As for it's a little bit difficult to hone it and it need a little bit longer stropping. BUT if you hone it right it will give you fantastic shave!
I'm particularly fond of french nose razors myself. I don't have that TI but I do have a dreadnaught in 7/8 and I love that razor. TI makes fine razors and you'll undoubtedly enjoy that razor if you buy it. I agree with the sentiment that those scales will likely look better in person. I've found that pictures fail to do justice to many a straight razor in the looks department. My Dreadnaught in blue box elder is absolutely stunning but looked mundane in the pictures.
Hi, this is an amazing razor. I have the same but be careful: the French Point is not the most easy and creates cuts faster than a round point. But this TI is a real masterpiece.
I use this TI once in a while and for everyday use I trust my Boker 5/8 and 6/8 Silversteel's with round point: excellent (and exclusive) shavers that are saver for me as beginner.
