I just finished my 5th shave. No cuts or nicks yet but I have a very shakey hand. I have nerve damage in my right thumb, any ideas on how to relax it?

Call Dr. Jack Daniels. LOL. I am joking. The good news is that you haven't cut yourself. My first fews shaves were bloody! I would shave with my left hand if possible.
Haha. Yea ive been working with my left a lil. Just got to get my confidence up.

If you're still nickless w/ a shakey hand, I'd be inclined to keep doing whatever you're doing and be quite proud of your track record.
I had severe nerve damage to my primary hand/arm also. Its rare now, but when I started shaving and honing, my right hand would spasm and it would have the expected result on my shaves and on my edges. If I could feel it coming, I'd stop shaving or honing until the hand calmed back down and then continue. I can't say I ever really relaxed until I experienced a nice smooth edge - especially on a heavy grind. They were friendly and instead of a shave being a challenge - it became a pleasure.
Well I definitely don't suggest a bottle of wine lol. Learnt my lesson the hard way
Thar ya gonna ahead and said it... now ya jinxed it. Happy bleeding! LOL!!
