The Family Came Through...
Yup... Birthday presents... The daughters took the hints! So I was able to start using a Parker Stainless Steel Shavette on Saturday and today for the first time and then again today..

Then took the plunge. I have a moustache and goatee and that means that I don't shave the whole face but...
it seems to take more skill shaving around it than with a DE razor. Nicked myself trying to get the 'definition' correct on my right-hand jaw and the SasaBB experience was not as good as with my DE. But not too bad.
The other thing I picked up was a new shaving bowl. It isn't designed for shaving but when I saw it I picked it up and bought it because of the base. It is made of crimson glass and is more funnel shaped than soup bowl shaped. I found that it was perfect for the lather quantity I need.
I decided to go for ProRaso products at first and now have several of the Green Packaging ones. Very impressed.
My Edwin Jagger Badger Hair brush I bought 18 months ago has a crack that developed in the handle so am looking for another brush. Thought I would get either a synthetic or horse hair one to compare. The badger brush is good and far better to my liking that the boar bristle I have had for ten years.
See how it goes. Maybe in a month or so I'll get a proper straight razor.
