Is there someone who can show me near by proper technique?

Hello!

I am new to straight razor shaving. I have been doing this now for maybe 2 months??

I find it REALLY relaxing and a good time to wind down/or start my day but...I don't know if it's just me or not but it seems like my razor isn't staying as sharp as it's supposed to. Or my technique is just RIDICULOUSLY wrong...

Honestly, I work better more hands on, I have seen countless technique videos and so forth for this but I really just need someone to help me get my stropping done and correct technique.

Is there a place that I can go for that? or does someone live close in my area and willing to show me? I live in NW Indiana near Chicago. Any help would be appreciated.
