OK - I am curious how often you have to bust out the styptic pencil...
I can not remember the last time I used my styptic pencil. But I did use it often when first starting out.
I rarely get a cut deep enough to need it, I find a good preshave oil (I have cromwell and cruthers) or Proraso pre/post shave cream as an after shave eliminates any small bleedy nicks. If I used to pencil on those I'd be there all day and have all these white marks all over my face lol
Got a few, never use them!
I'm one of the lucky ones who never get cuts, hope I didn't jinx myself now!
Mine sits on the shelf and gets used perhaps once a week to fix a little weeper. I really don't need it but I don't want to come out of the bathroom with even the tiniest bit of blood on my face. She would never let up if I did:D
I rarely get nicked bad enough to really need it, but I wind up using it anyway on very minor nicks. They really make a cut seem to disappear.
I used to have to use it all the time when I started out straight shaving, but thankfully it mostly sits on standby. It's there for when I need it, but I rarely need it.
Now if that doesn't guarantee a decent cut on my next shave, I don't know what will... :)
Alum block, yes. Styptic pencil, no.
Couple times a week.I don't cut myself per/say,but when you get older you will find you get small fostorni and farqels on your face, they get in the way of the blade, makes for weepers sometimes.
I use a styptic all the time.
Not very often after a shave, although the odd pimple and whatnot gets cut in half every now and then:)
What I use it the most for is for small cuts and nicks my kids seem to get about two times a day!
A very useful product indeed.
