It's not so rare. But the mark "Cutlers To Their Majesties" you can find more often.
I have one marked exactly the same as yours, but it is not a dreadnought. It is a 5/8ths Hollow Ground Round point in superb condition. I never thought about it before, but I must admit that I have not seen any others marked like these. So are these pretty rare ? Perhaps someone will know ?
Congratulations!
Very informative. Thanks --_--
I came across this razor a couple of years ago. check out the scales that came with it. I wonder how many 20 inch hunter knives our friend Mr. Leon sold. That is one heck of a big knife! Two and half times longer than my 8 inch chef's knife which is pretty darn big on it's own. The only 20 inch blades I managed to find online were some old conquistador boarding cutlass-like blades, and hundred year old Filipino combat daggers.
I have a LeCoultre, can't wait to hone up the blades for it soon.
Thanks, manah. I have two Köller razors and they're lovely shavers. Regarding the "Velvet" trademark, one of mine is marked "Velvo" on both scales and tang -- I have a bad pic from a few years ago and can get you a better one when I get around to taking down my display case:
