This is my new Jersusalem Olivewood handle with one of Larry's (Whipped Dog) synthetic knots. It is 24mmx58mm.
I am looking forward to using it.

Fine looking handle on that brush. I hope the knot is not similar to The Body Shop's brush which I could not get along with and more like a Muhle synthetic which works well. Would like to hear your review of it after you get a chance to use it some.

Wow, that is a beautiful handle, nicely done! I know nothing about those knots and look forward to your opinion.

Wow what a cool looking grain in that handle! Looks great! Whippeddog.com is one of my favorite sites too. :)
My 4th shave with the Fat Handle Tech and my 1st shave with the WD Synthetic Brush. I decided to go with the La Toja cream. It was a great combination! The WD Synthetic face lathered like a champ. I just loaded the brush for about 5 seconds and had enough cream for a great 3-pass shave! I finished up with Speick.
This brush is going to be a keeper and a great travel brush too.

That is good to hear that the synthetic knot worked out well. Personally, I'm sold on synthetics after my initial bad experience and then trying the Muhle after that. They sure do make for great travel brushes. Synthetics really have come a long way in a short time.

I wanted to try the brush using a puck today, so I pulled out the Tabac. After 3 shakes and loading on the puck for about 30-40 seconds, it gave up plenty of lather for a nice 3-pass shave. The tips are very soft and do a great job both swirling and painting.

Heh, I don't know why but that reverse-2-band look kind of freaks me out.
Today, I tried the brush on the LA Shaving Soap in the jar. I just loaded it for about 30 seconds and started face lathering. It generated more than enough lather for a 3-pass shave. Tomorrow I will try it on a puck of Stirling.

Today, I tried the brush on Stirling Ozark Mountain. I just loaded it for about a minute and had enough loaded on the brush for a great 3-pass shave...and then some.

I just had my 5th shave with the WD Synthetic knot. I really like it. I have tried a different type of soap each day and it has done superbly with each one. I have face lathered each day. The brush loads easily, is surprisingly soft, and quickly works up a great lather. This knot is a keeper. I understand why Larry at Whipped Dog offers a refund if you try it and don't like it. I will be keeping mine, thank your very much!

Nice. I just bought a couple of knots from Larry, but i skipped the synthetic. Appears that I may like it better than the pure badger he now has back in stock. I just happened to have a "pure badger" marked handle, and wanted to try it, and he had some (although is his site said that he was out).
I'll try Larry's synthetic next time i have a handle to fill.
That's my "go to" DE razor too (when i use those things:p). Good report and nice job on the title matching the subject.
In the FWIW category:
I pulled out he WD Synthetic again this morning to use on a puck of Haslinger. I just dipped the brush in hot water, gave it 3 shakes, and loaded it on the puck for about 30 seconds. I had plenty of great lather for 3 passes plus. I truly like this brush. The performance is excellent and it feels great on my face. 24mmx58mm

@ Lince-
Very nice brush
Face or bowl lathering ?
Face..........
Great looking brush. I love the wood.
Awesome job on that brush! I'm curious, do the synthenic knots lose any hairs during use? I would imagine that the plug holding the fibers would be the same as any others and tend to shed every once in awhile, but the only complaint I ever hear about the synthetics is about their texture...

Mike-Mine has not lost a hair. The texture of the new generation of synthetic knots is terrific!! Since they don't retain water, there is a small learning curve, but they feel great on your face.
No shedding problems in any of my Sythetics.
