I see pictures of all the brushes you folk use, and I've got a question:
How do you keep them looking so neat? I mean, they all look really new, like they've never been used. Perfectly shaped, just like they came new. Mine's(VDH that came in the "Premium" starter set) already looking ratty after about 4 uses. And no, I'm not crushing it down into the bowl or the soap in use.
Sounds stupid, but I treat my badger hair brushes as I would treat my own hair.
Rinse the brush thoroughly after each use, gentle squeeze, shake & fluff out the water & hang dry them badger down. I have 3 brushes in a rotation at one time, so each gets a few days break.

After writing this, I realized that I don't really have any da&& hair on my head, oh well.......
1. Rinse well after shaving
2. Shake out, then gently squeeze out excess water
3. Dab and squeeze on dry towel
4. Swing through the air to create mild centrifugal force to remove anything left
5. Lift brush hairs in up position with fingers
6. Stand or hang up to dry
You've answered your own question. It's a VDH.They are about the most basic you can get.

I have a basic brush from an AoS kit, about the same thing?
It was the one in the premium kit.
VDH is usually referring to Van Der Hagen.
