Default New Knot-Whipped Dog High Mountain

I had Larry at WD put one of his new High Mountain Badger knots in my Bethlehem Olivewood handle. It is 24mmx50mm. It took a bit more clean up than most and takes a little longer to dry. When dry, it seems a bit scritchy. But, when I used it this morning, it was very soft and lathers like a champ. After one shave, I am very impressed.

After shave number two, I am liking this knot even more. It is very soft but has good backbone. It is a lathering machine!

You can compare the photos from day one to day two.

Seems to be blooming nicely. Larry is a great choice in a vendor too. IMO

I bought the same knot from Larry recently. I had the same first impressions that you did. Give it another few shaves, it keeps getting better. Very soft on the tips but has plenty of backbone.
On a side note, I really like that handle. It would look nice next to my Dovo with olive wood scales. If you ever decide you don't like that brush anymore...

Nice brush! I just got one but haven't tried it yet. I like that the brush seems soft but it's got sort of stiff tips. Let's see how it breaks in.

The brush you are showing is my next one that I want, to get from Larry. I already have one of his WD Silver tip brushes. I will use probably the same handle. That is on my WD except in Navy Blue.
