These days I find myself grabbing for my smaller brushes. I have a 20mm 2 band set at 48mm loft and it shines above all my other brushes. I find myself using it more than any of my others. Could be that I only shave my neck up to my jaw line and that's it. (full beard) I could see if I were doing my full face I may want a bigger brush, but I find my 26mm to be big enough. My 30mm is more of a show piece really.

I prefer my badgers in the 22-24mm size, but I have no issues with a 20. I have a few 28's, but MAN! They are a bit wasteful on the lather.
I do like boars on the big side, however.
