    Not a Rubberset aluminum rocket brush, I think you will find it to be smallish, 20mm or so. The handle is brass, solid, quite heavy. I have one with a stand, safety razor combo.
    A good knot is TGN 20 mm 2-band. That one looks worth a try, to me!

    Brush arrived, quite a heavy handle, and it is sealed in a plastic bag, never opened.

    You described the brush to a "T", heavy little sucker, sealed in a plastic bag and never used. If it's sealed in plastic, can't be that old I'd imagine?

    Found a couple similar to it in junk shops. Fair bristles but a re-knot is a lot better!

    The brush handles that were raging a while back were the taller spun alum brushes.
