I'm game for a new mug (I face lather) and wanted to see what others are using. Post pics of your mugs, bowls, etc.

I'm afraid you wouldn't be too impressed with what I use for a mug. Any old coffee cup that various businesses give away at Christmas time will do for me as long as a puck of soap fits in the bottom. I tend to funnel my shaving funds into quality razors.
For me it would have to be a "mug shot" as I face lather. ;) Seriously though I just have my soaps in a 1 cup Pyrex type glass dish.

I would guess the most common soap mug would be one of the Old Spice cups or mugs.
Here's mine, wish I could remember the gentleman who made it for me...

No pictures but I use a Moss Scuttle. The Potter came out with a 25th anniversary line a few years ago in slate grey. That's the one I have. Very simple looking but works perfectly.

Dirty Bird scuttle. I love it. Don't use it as much as I used to but when I do its nice.

I really like the Old Spice mugs. I have one filled with Tabac and one filled with Arko.
I also use a Georgetown Pottery G12. Since I face lather it holds my brush in between passes.

This heirloom shaving mug with a chipped base and worn silver paint on the rim is the only known remaining relic of my paternal grandfather (died ca.1938). It has always worked better for me than my scuttle or other vintage mugs.
The Georgetown Pottery G20.
I just used it for the first time and it is truly awesome.

You sure that's a g20? Looks kinda small for their big one,, my 20 looks like you could put it in mine. Tc
Mine is ugly, unbreakable, lightweight and beating lather on it is noisy. The fitting of the Tabac lid was pure luck. It was my cat's water pot until my porcelain mug decided to jump off my hands. Cat now have a fancy ceramic fountain.
