We need to know what you like in a brush. You want badger or boar. You like soft, medium or something with backbone. You like floppy? You want a plastic handle or wood or something exotic?
You want a big brush or a little one? You like fan shaped or round? You like high loft or low?

Pixelfixed custom nuff said. But oh wait , we that have them won't let go of them and he's not making anymore! Sorry, but knots can be had that will match any maker, then find someone who makes a great handle. Tc

Rudy Vey makes some of the best custom brushes on the market. Fair pricing and pretty quick delivery. Right now he is making a Limited Edition model with your choice of Shavemac badger knot for a price right in your ballpark. He's only making 50 though and I think about 20 are spoken for already. I'd give it a look. Here's a picture; one with a Shavemac Finest knot, the other a Shavemac 2 band.

I see multiple brushes in my future, thanks again to everyone. Freddie

Simpsons Persian Jar 3 in best badger. It's a full brush with good backbone that will serve well bowl or Face lathering. Plus it has an ample handle.

You guys were right on the money. I bought a Silvertip Shavemac, a Horse hair Vie Long and a Boar bristle Excelsor. They all do something different and I enjoy every one. I kind of like the stiffness of the Boar. Thanks again for all you help. I learned you don't have to spend a lot on brushes to get good performance. Freddie
