This is one of a few shaving brushes my son-in-law has made. He was wanting to sell them on E-bay but I take them first! Your opinions are welcome good or bad. Thanks for looking :beer1:

I really like the patterning in the wood. How do they feel in the hand?
I like post # 2 best.
I feel real good and it fits on the stand good . I need to take a picture of the stand but my picture taker just went to bed ;)
The shine seems to need buffing or polishing because I think the wood has something called .....sorry I can't say it is a wax though. I will ask about it. The more you handle it the duller the shine can get but it is easy to bring back with a soft cloth.
A very nice piece and pictures and stories about them are most welcome however talk of selling is not allowed on the open forum.
Very nice brushes he has made.

Nice looking burl handles.
The handles probably need a couple of coats of lacquer, shellac, varnish, etc. instead of wax.
They look really nice, the depth of colour is striking.
What knots is he using, and what size?
I can tell you the knot is big I have a size 16 plisson which is a large size, but I can't tell you how big the knot is. I will ask. If you are making them order the big knot . :rofl2: I like them better myself

Absolute beauties. The finishing looks amazing as well.
I personally love my larger sized plisson knots as well. Thanks for sharing.
Does your son-in-law still make these? If so, are they available for purchase?
Thank you

If this is the proper place, what epoxy do craftsmen use when securing a knot to a handle?
