Looking for a second brush

Currently I have a Parker Pure badger shaving brush that I enjoy and wanted opinions on what my second brush should be. I think I am looking for something a bit softer than my pure badger for second brush and I am considering a tuxedo knot or silvertip knot brush. I have a somewhat cheap handle from an old synthetic boar brush I had that I planned on using. I do need to see if I can get the original knot out and correctly measure everything so I know what size knot I would be looking for.

At the moment I am thinking best route to take is to pick up https://goo.gl/Ztvkzr for 15$ and maybe another synthetic brush knot to try out. Then depending on how that brush works out, looking at buying knot for other handle.

Anyone with brush suggestions/website to look at different knots?

Will do more research on re knotting if I do use old handle (I like how it felt in hand and that is all I really care about when it comes to brush handles) or picking up a whipped dog handle

Something that I would consider: is this a genuine Tuxedo knot or a knock-off? I can't tell.
If I may suggest, get a Thater finest silvertip badger and the angels will smile at you.

Hi Christian!
There are so many choises out there when it comes to brushes! The big question is how much do you want to spend? I've picked up a few new brushes lately. One from Stirling Soap company , 26mm silver tip badger for about 40$, I really like it a lot! If you're looking for something for less, I bought a couple from Virginia Sheng on the bay for 20$ each, I must say for the money they are tough to beat! They also offer just the knot if you're looking to replace one!

Shavemac D01 if you like silky smooth, or as Obie suggests Thater delivers in that category extremely well also.

If you like a brush with good scrub, that really digs in the face and exfoliates, the Shavemac D01-2 band knot. Both Shavemac knots can be had with a handle or knot only.

Thater or Shavemac, do it once, buy it once, and shaving bliss will follow forever....:D

For the silver tip I was looking at spending less then 50$ on the knot and synthetic I was looking at paying 30$ for brush and all. Was looking at Silvertip Grade A badger knot 30mm from Goldennib with a 30 mm handle from whipped dog. For the synthetic I was looking at the black and white knot from maggardrazors or maybe whole brush

Christian, I have to correct my previous post, The 26mm brush I bought from Stirling Soap isnt a silver tip its a "Finest Badger" but for 39.99 its a great brush!

The Kent BK8 brush above I can personally recommend if you want a very soft one. A bit more than you were intended to spend, but it includes very classy and traditional handle, and the price itself is a relatively (for this brush) good one.

Much too many brushes to recommend, really.
The brush in your link looks like a fine one. Afterwards, you could progress to an inexpensive 2-Band brush, such as Sterling's, Maseto Shaving, TGN, etcetera.
