It depends on how it is shipped.

I've gotten stuff from Italy in three days. Stuff from Belgium can take three weeks.

Im in south east USA btw i had a razor shipped from italy a while back take about 2 weeks to get here. So i guess we will see how long it take germany, that is if i can find an inexpensive shipping method. So far it looks about 30 of 40 bucks and thats to much.

First and foremost, this will be about Shavemac establishing the root cause why the brush is loosing hairs and to see whether they have a potential issue in their production process.

If it is something that Shavemac feel they have to answer for they may replace the knot, if Shavemac should diagnose that the loss of hairs is related to mistreatment of the brush by the user, then we’ll have to see, as Shavemac would be under no obligation to replace the knot and may instead offer to replace the knot at the owner’s expense.

    Things to consider:

1.) The “inexpensive shipping” that you mentioned comes usually at the expense of speed.
2.) Keep in mind that the brush will need to clear Customs on arrival in Germany. Using courier companies, I make it a point to declare the items that will be returned to me as “Repair & Return” to avoid delays and charges in Customs.
3.) My preferred course of action in such situations, to avoid both the shipping costs and Customs issue, would be to send the item back to the stateside merchant (if that is where it was bought from), advise him of any related communications with the manufacturer, and ask the merchant to send it back to the manufacturer.

It is going to go through German Customs no matter who or how it is sent. If you send it make sure to mark on the customs declaration that it is a shave brush for repair and return.

I'm going to hazard a guess that you will not find any shipping deals to a location halfway across the globe; $30 sounds completely reasonable to me for a shipment going from USA to Germany.

That's the caveat with warranty service -- a product warranty doesn't cover all of your expenses related to exercising your warranty claim. The lawyers make sure to write that bit into the fine print.
