I asked Srdjan from Rhodium brushes to make me a soap slayer.
He came up with this one, Honduran rosewood, 31mm silvertip badger.
Here head to head against a CH3 Manchurian.

What exactly are Rhodium knots ?
Name of Srdjan's company. He hand ties the knots. The handles now are engraved with the company name.
Nothing like getting a brush from a good friend.
Hu..I never knew.
The chubby 3 is a very large and dense brush. As nice as your brush is (and I'm not trying to dis it) you can have too much of a good thing. I've found really large dense brushes are lather hogs and actually produce more lather than needed.
Of course years ago I thought they were the cats meow and I still have a couple but rarely use them.
All my humble opinion of course.
I recently received a similar but smaller brush from the same source. Maiden voyage tonight.
Alex needed to go through some soap quickly.. So I obliged :rofl2:
Yes please show us your brushes and tell everyone you make them. Folks can PM you if they like ... but don't link your site or you will find yourself on the wrong end of a ban my friend :nono: :argue:
This is a very good point. Big brushes are fun to use, but I find they take a bit more time to create lather (and obviously need more product), whereas the small ones start releasing a lot more quickly.
While no knot of mine is a lather hog (this I control with loft), these large ones produce massive amounts of lather. I find myself reaching for 24-26mm on most days... In reality, 24s more than anything else. One thing to keep in mind is, they are a lot more dense than most, so in reality they are still bigger than most 26s.
@alex1921 Thank you for posting that beauty, my friend!
@RezDog - Looking forward to your thoughts :)
Srdjan I have used it 2 times now. First attempt didn't go that well but the second one was stellar. Loaded it up with MdC and it performed great.
Bigspendur I know what you mean. It does create more lather than I really need for a 3 pass shave but like Srdjan said I have too many soaps and this will be a way to use them :) I am rotating between a CH2, CH3 and 3 of Srdjans brushes with this one being the biggest one and one might say extravagant.
Looks like pure quality and I like the Greek, it looks like Alien..
Here’s another ροΔιυm soap-slayer. After using a Thäter 4125/2 for so many years, the larger handle is a noticeable bonus. Fair amount of backbone and a luxurious, stuffed knot, what’s not to love?
