Default Too much of a good thing?

I have a Simpson Chubby 3 Manchurian, now whilst I really enjoy using it I sometimes think it might be just a little too big.
My all time favourite brush is my Duke 3 Manchurian, for me it is the Goldilocks brush, just a great all rounder. But sometimes you just want more; bigger, better, more luxurious, something to pamper myself with on my Sunday shave and that’s where the Chubby 3 came in, as mentioned I do enjoy it but now I’m thinking the Chubby 2 would have been better?
Has anyone had experience with the 2 and 3?

Yea I have both. My Chubby 2 is the old and not available anymore finest badger and is a bit smaller than the current Chubby 2s made from Manchurian. I also have a Manchurian Chubby 3 like yours. I think the 2 is ideal size. The 3 is a monster. I use it when I have a soap I want to use up fast. Once loaded you could lather up an Army company with it.

Thanks. I had a Chubby 2 in Super badger, was too dense for me. The Manchurian isn't as densely packed as the bristles are thicker. I think the Chubby 2 in Manchurian could be the one. Time to save some pennies.

I saved my Chubby 2 for my Sunday shave, and what a shave it was! For me, the size is just right to pamper oneself, as much as I liked the Chubby 3 it was just a little too big. I would have to load a lot more product for it to perform and then I'd have too much lather.
I face lather exclusively and its everything I wanted it to be, very soft, great backbone and density spot on.
The Chubby 2 Super was just too dense making it a bit if a lather hog and the Chubby 3 Manchurian too big so this one is 3rd time lucky.
