    Default Frank shaving brushes

Has anyone used a Frank Shaving brush? I recently came across them and don't know if they are a good value or just cheap.

Not that I have much experience with a lot of brushes but I'll let you know how I like it in 11 days or so.

I got one, the same as the picture, ebony, i think for the money its a really good brush, in fact i am going to buy a silvertip as well, used it now for just over a week, and its breaking in nicely, just as good as some of my brushes i paid a lot more for!

I bought one, then another, then another and evangelised them because nothing touches them for the money.

Then Ian Tang sent me two prototypes to try. So now there are 5 of them in my bathroom.

Frank Shaving brushes are not just one model, they are a whole range, like Simpson's or Rooney.
There are several different hair grades.
There are lots of different handle shapes, sizes and materials.
There are lots of different knot sizes, including a big knot model.
There are fan and bulb shaped knots.

    Tips:
    Don't buy the wooden handles.
The Finest badger ($9.99) is the best all round.
The Silvertip is softer but floppier.
Look for the shortest knot loft.

When your brush arrives you will be surprised just how nice it is. Really not dissimilar from some very expensive English brushes. This is because most badger hair knots in most brushes made in the West come from China anyway. Buying direct from China cuts out the middleman.

I have written several articles about these brushes.

Those are nice looking brushes. How would you like to donate some/one of them to the monthly giveaway.

    Cheers,
    Bill

    I've been thinking about one...

Can't say I think alot of the logo, but for the price I cannot see how one could go too far wrong.

They seem to elicit quite the controversy in some circles...
