Here is my solution, after many tries, to the Shave bowl dilemma, I wanted nice warm lather, I wanted a bowl large enough for a huge 30mm brush, I did not want the bowl floating around on top of the water, I wanted the bowl to sit low in the water so it stays warm with out tipping over, I did not want to pay more than $20 for this wonder bowl....
The only draw back to my bowl is if I drop this thing it will shatter into a million, foot shredding pieces... but then again so will most anything except wood and metal....

That is a 28mm Shavemac in the Wonder Bowl it holds more than enough lather for 3 passes, in fact it holds enough for the wife to do her legs... It does not float around, and it cant sink, or upset in the sink filled with hot water, which of course means nice warm lather throughout the shave. One other plus, is that the stem acts as a handle when making lather in the bowl !!!!!
The best part for last..... It costs $1.97 at Walmart, it is their Large Sundae Bowl from housewares.... This the best thing I have found so far for making and keeping lather.....
And you can eat your Ice Cream out of it too!Quote:

I got my wife a small coringware bowl for her shaving. It isn't as likely to break as my good southwest pottery bowl.
