Whats the difference between the two of these brushes and why?
One to lather up with in the mornings and one to lather up with in the evenings! :)

The brushes were made by Dan Capshaw, and after seeing Amyn's brush from the same maker, I went a little overboard.
The spalted maple is a 28mm knot with 58mm of loft. The red palm is a 25mm knot with 60mm of loft.
I think I've got the BAD out of my system.

For those interested, the website I provided a few posts
ago is the same guy, Dan Capshaw, who made these brushes.

I ordered a brush from Dan a few days ago and will post pics when I get it. He actually uses the same brush knot supplier that Simpson does.

Yes, I agree. Keep in mind that whether or not the supplier is the same, I have also not said "match the Simpsons" so any similarity is coincidental anyway. My goal in posting was to avoid the potential for a comparison "discussion" or a misunderstanding about what I believe about my brushes.Quote:

His knot (correct me if I'm wrong Dan) was not the "normal" knot, but a special knot that Dan can get and his impression of it as compared to Simpson's was, and I quote:
