ok, here are the pix of the brushes as they are being finished, and the one that I wound up putting the bristles in. To fully appreciate the massive size of the brush, my clever brush holding jig is a tall size shot glass and the handle is over 4" long. I used a matte waterproofing finish (3 coats) so that the grain of the wood could be felt in the finished product. (I am not a big fan of glossy wood finishes.) I'll put a review up after I shave with it.
Review of how the bristles performed:
In short, wonderfully. The softest, most luxurious brush I've used. As I said in a previous post, the size, loft and density of these bristles rivals some of the Shavemacs I've handled. As I brushed the lather on my face, I couldn't even feel the brush touching my face, just the slick lather. It soaked up water like a sponge and stayed nice and warm as I was using it. The handle was long enough to use comfortably with my redneck scuttle (seen here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/showthread.php?t=15926 ) and fit my hand well. (duh, it was made for me :) )
I'll post a link to where the bristles can be found as soon as I dig it up from my old emails.
ok, here is the guy's website. he posts on a bunch of fountain pen forums, and sometimes badger and blade.

what did you use to glue the bristles with?
What size hole do you need for the base of the 24mm brush?
I guess I'll just have to wait and measure. Your pictures got me fired up. I ordered my knot today, and wanted to turn the handle so it would be ready to glue in when I got it.
