Badger Hair Brushes
tweezerman.com makes a real badger hair shaving brushes that retails for $10.00 with a lifetime warranty. I know they don't compare with the expensive silver tips but they work just fine and don't cost much more than a boar bristle brush. If you go to tweezerman.com they have a search engine so you can check local availability. I haven't tried the internet site below but they ship free so if they are not available locally you might want to try ordering from these folks.

I think those may be coming out of mainland China. When a stranger comes to the door, they've been heard to bark!
(just kidding, OK?, JUST kidding)

Badger Hair Brushes
Hey Uthed. I used one this morning. It's as good as my more expensive low end badger brush. Good brush for the newbies or for travel.

Uthed,
On that note I will say I bought a Surrey "badger" from the local Rite Aid for $7, I swear it smells like a wet dog everytime it ges wet. I had to stop using it simply because of the aroma. real turn off.
In contrast my $7 Burma Shave brush is my daily user even over my nice badger brush. Whips up a lather really quickly which is great on weekdays mornings. I already started getting up 20 minutes earlier just to enjoy my shave.
I'm going to put that other brush near the door the next time I hear the mailman coming and see what happens <g>.

If you want a good silver tip brush for cheap go with Vulfix, cheap and damn good quality. I am personally lusting after a Simpsons or even a Plisson, absolutly beatiful brush, but because I don't have oddles of money to spend I'll for no have to stick with my Vulfix #374 and Kent BK8.

I have a Kent T4, a $20 Surrey Badger brush and a Tweezerman Badger brush. I can only feel a vary minor difference between them. I guess my face isn't vary sensetive. Or cheap Badger brushes all feel alike.

Try washing it out with shampoo a couple of times, that should remove the smell.

Is anybody familiar with these brushes? They have tons of categories and even a PDF file that explains the differences of brushes I didn't even know about: mixed hair; colored boar, etc.

I have a question has anyone upgraded their badger hair brushes from the $25 to the silvertip? Do you really notice any difference?
