Golden Nib Vs C&E Best Badger
I was going to post this as a review, but I don't think I have enough time on the new brush yet.

I picked up a couple of old brushes off of ebay and promptly removed the old bristles. They have been sitting around for a while, waiting for me to order some knots. Well, the knots arrived last week....
Man, this thing is big. I think I need a bigger bowl. Its also much firmer than my C&E brush. The C&E does like to sort of fold over as you are working with it. I think someone described it as 'splaying across your face'. Now that I have a comparison point, I would agree. The golden nib knot is very dense and stiff, but still quite soft.
Unfortunately, it still smells like the north end of a south facing badger, but I am sure that will go away with a couple additional uses.
I'm still getting used to the size and stiffness of the brush, so the lather is not super great right now. That should turn around though, once I figure it out.
So far, it is money well spent. I'll post a pic of the other brush, when I get around to putting it together.
