    Default vulfix 38 badger brush

Ok so I have a question. I purchased this brush and it much bigger than you think when you see the picture of it. Its is massive. So my question is does anyone shave with this thing? I have not used it because I am not sure if I should send it back.

    Thanks

    Crom,

All the time...That is why Vulfix, Rooney and Simpson each make a number of "large" brushes. Some people just like the size of a large brush in their hand to whip up lather and apply it to their face.

The next time you order a shaving brush, don't go by the picture alone, but pay particular attention to the dimensions of the brush provided by the merchant on their website. These include: overall brush height, handle height, brush loft, and knot diameter.

    Take care.

Wow, you can paint the barn with that one. Just kidding. Some people like large brushes. I have not used a brush that big. I forget how big our C & E is but it is large. We got it for CarrieM's legs but she has been using my 21mm Vulfix. My go to brush is a 23mm Shavemac in silvertip. I love that brush and it seems to be the size that is right for me.

Can't tell you if you should keep it or send it back, that's up to you. I'm sure it will be interesting to use. If you do use it let us know how it performs. I do like my Vulfix 21mm. It's a good brush in pure badger. Real good for face lathering.

    Good luck.

That 38 would be too big for me. Send it back and get a size you are comfortable with. I have a 23mm Vulfix and I am very happy with it.

I have one from my DE days when I face lathered. Its no longer in my rotation becuase it is a bit large for my shallow soap bowls and scuttle. Obviously there are folks who really like the big brushes. My preferences have gravitated to tall and soft.
