Well, here is my first attempt at making a brush. I got the knot from TGN (24mm) and the wood is Cherry. This is my first time ever using chisels, lathe, etc as I never took shop class. Overall I must say I am pretty pleased. I can't wait until I get to make some lather with it (I must wait 24 hours for the epoxy to set)!. I wanted a large handle to make using it with a scuttle easier (that and I like to have plenty to grab onto). Let me know what you guys think. :beer2:

Thanks for the kind words. I hope it will become my daily brush as I opted for the silvertip in hopes of it replacing my AOS brush that I started with.
Gorgeous. Nice workmanship, and I'm sure that the lather will be all the better because it comes from a brush you made yourself!
Quality job friend. And you thought str8 shaving could get expensive don't let turning bite too hard. I'm many thousands in the hole there. If you do give me a holler I'll help you with tool pricing as there are better ways of doing it.
