Thats awesome. From what I have read seabees seem to be like a group of their own. Did he retire as a seabee or did he not serve that long?

I won't know an exact date until I have completed one month of boot camp
I do plan to post on here when I am in A School and have more time to chat on the forums.

But I will let you know what it is since you asked
Until then really all I know is when and where to catch my plane. I can't wait to get done with the boot camp and on with the FUN stuff hehe. Girls from all around the world is sounding fun to a young single man

He was in for just 2 years during the vietnam war. His homebase was Rhode Island and he spent 6 months on deployment overseas and 6 months in the states. And your right the Seabees are like their own version of the Navy. Very unmilitary like and advancement comes very quickly. A very outstanding group of guys.
