Frank's Richmond 28mm knot Silver tip. Thoughts?
OK, I'm not really a badger fan and I tried a couple Frank's brushes early on in my shave journey. I really wasn't impressed in the slightest. That being said, I took another chance on Frank's and ordered the Richmond with a 28mm silver tip. It's the most expensive of the line. All at 39.99 plus shipping. Less than 50 total shipped to the US.
I'm very impressed with this brush. To me it seems to be a big step up in quality over the previous Frank's I have used. The handle is solid and heavy. The knot is IMHO Denser than my TGN 28mm. It's set a little lower and has good backbone. It actually whipped up MWF with ease. The tips seem very soft but not floppy. But I'm no brush expert. I've never used a high end badger brush, so I'm not very versed in that area. So far this is way more brush than I expected at this price point.
Anyone have any experience with this current offering from Ian ?
