Thread: St. Charles Shave - Bottom Gun Mug

I just wanted to compliment the people at St. Charles Shave for quality and service. I recently purchased the "Bottom Gun Submarine Shaving Mug" from them. The price was $19.24 shipped! So not only was it here in 3 days (ordered 8/21, received 8/24 by the US Post Office) it comes with a choice of shaving soap (and mine had two nice samples of other products). The mug is old school (i.e. not a thin ceramic clone of a shaving mug) and has a "manly" heft to it. I was surprised at the size. More like a coffee mug size but I'm assuming that is my fault because I failed to read the description. (I just checked. It was my fault.)

Hmmmm...now maybe a new brush?

That is a nice looking mug. If you want a new brush
to keep it company go for it.

Saint Charles is a little wrong on their history though.
Theodore Roosevelt wasn't the Secretary of the Navy
in 1924. His son Theodore Jr. was the Assistant Sec.
of the Navy in that year.

But anyway, it's still a nice looking mug. Enjoy it....

As much as I like that mug, I just can't bring myself to order it. I was a surface (skimmer) sailor and it would be as wrong for me to get caught by my old Navy buds with that in my house as it would for an Army guy to get caught with a 'Semper Fi' bumper sticker on his car.
It is a nice looking mug though.
