Who uses them? Pros and Cons? I have a silvertip badger but I think a boar brush would be better for my hair type. Or could someone recommend a really stiff badger brush.

I have the owners club and the 1305. I love them both. They don't hold heat as well, but they are amazing with soaps and feel great on my tough beard :) I highly recommend them.
I have a tough beard as well. I love the silvertip but I think a good stiff boar brush would do better.
The 830 is supposed to be one of the best all-around brushes out there. Unfortunately it is seldomly in stock at most of the places that I know that sell the Semogues.
Found one.

I have a Owners club and love it. It's mostly my go to for face lathering...which I take from your post is primarily what you do?
You'll love it for face lathering
Not sure what you mean by "better for hair type"...regarding bowl lathering, once the lather is made any decent brush should do the job, regardless of hair type. for me it's mostly about feel and how brushes interact with the cream/soap.
I have really coarse hair. Almost barbwire like. I also suffer from razor bumps (yes, I know shaving technique is important too). But I have heard that a boar brush will be good for coarse hair. So looking for something that will provide better lift and exfoliate better. BTW, I went ahead and ordered the 830 and some MWF to boot. I just finished my HAD phase so I guess I am going into my BAD? phase.
