I also own the NYSC synthetic brush. You will really enjoy the synths by Frank Shaving--they are very good. One new entry into the synthetic marketplace that is worth noting is the new Kent Infinity Silvertex. It is very nicely constructed, and the quality is what you'd expect from Kent. At $30, it has an excellent price point, although it's on the smaller side at around 20mm.
Of course the best synthetic brushes currently made are the Muhle V2 series of brushes. They truly stand out of the crowd. Their inexpensive 21mm HJM Black Fibre brushes have decent backbone, and among the softest tips available anywhere.
