well instead of just buying a new brush im gonna sand this one down and replace the knot ... after all it would be to easy to buy a new one and a lot less fun !!!

the older one has been laying around her for years , my mother cant remember what family member once used if any at all .. but i know who is gonna use it !!! it is stiff as nails , im thinking maybe hoarse hair ?? either way it is a taller brush and feels perfect in the grasp of my paws !! ill post some pics when it is complete !!

It's probably boar if it's really stiff. Besides, in most vintage brushes you won't find horse. They stopped using it early in the 20th century and didn't restart until recently.
