Brush Identificaiton Request - West Germany Crabtree & Evelyn
I'm fairly new to straight razor shaving and started off with a $30 Edwin Jagger bush off of amazon. It is quite soft, but works great for me, not knowing any better.
I was out with the wife at an antique store and found this unused brush - I liked the stiffness and decided to make this my second brush...more to come, I am sure. It was $20, and I decided even if it is junk, I'll make some use of it, learn something, and worse case, end up with a traveling brush in my travel bag - it came with a travel case tube.
I can't help but wonder what it's history is. The label reads, "Crabtree & Evelyn - London - Badger & Bristles - Made in West Germany"
I can't find anything about it - I wonder if it regarded as a good brush, and if it is boar, badger, or both (based on the label, that is what I suspect). If any collectors/historians out there can be bothered, I would really appreciate some information on this find.
Thanks!
