Thats looks interesting,Is another product made By Howard for polishing woods,is called restor-a-shine,I know ace hardware carrys it.
One is a polishing cream, Is Pumice in an oil of some sort,the other is Burnishing Cream which I believe is Rottenstone in oil.
Both pre mixed,easy to use, cheap. Wood Polish, Wax & Furniture Restoration Products | Howard Products

Agree Ray,are so many ways to finish wood, the most magnifcent product god ever created.

Im surprised that you dont Burnish with the shavings, a common practice with traditional turners.
