26 mm Silvertip at 50 mm loft. Made a slightly larger handle anticipating a little bigger bloom. I may keep this one for myself! Tambuti wood again with linseed oil.

Looking Good ,,,,,
Loving the look of that tambuti, especially with the linseed oil finish on it. Nice looking brush!
Very nice. I have always used Linseed oil for gun stocks. Started using it on brush handles now also.
Even have been using ca over it after a couple days of drying. Works nicely too!!

:idea:OK ya caught me! Had to come back and look at it again!!
That looks awesome! Would love to see a pic post bloom.
I started out using 2P-10 thin and Linseed oil. My process was Linseed oil, CA, Linseed oil, CA back and forth. You end up with more of a satin finish.
really no issues other than on an all ready oily wood doesn't work so great IME. Sometimes you'll get a flat spot, but I really think that I rushed the process when that happens. The wood may have been drier, and sucked up the oil.
The longer I do this I'm leaning toward using CA on light color woods, and oil on darker. The oil just looks better...
That wood looks so rich and warm. Great job!
Here she is post bloom. I gotta say, I think between 2 band and Silvertip I like the 2 band. I guess I appreciate the backbone.
