Looks like a Duck getting ready for a black tie affair :<0) I mean handsome.
Ahhhhhh, whose that belong?
Very nice! I like the long handle...
This one is for a fellow Member here, Scareface. Based on an old Rubberset brush, with a 28mm grade A silvertip knot instead of a boar. Really like the way this one turned out! Here's some other pics and also the finished brush.

Man you are cranking out the brushes. I can't wait for the Calgary meet to see the one you did for Raol.
I gotta get it to him first. Need to rescale a razor for him before I ship it out. But I promised Ralph it's coming shortly.
Neat to see the carnage that precedes the elegance. I can just imagine the stench and the screaming.....
Nice! A real classic there! :tu
Really nice! Classic. Looks like a brush that you might have seen in an old time barber shop when you were a kid.

Yet another home run. Your work just keeps getting better.
It looks like you wrapped the handle in something while it was in the chuck. What did you use if one may ask?
Nope, didn't wrap it with anything. What is going on there is that the piece was not square at he beginning. I think it was 1 1/2" x 1 5/8" so only 2 jaws were grabbing the material initially. I was too lazy to square up the piece, so I turned the handle end round first, flipped it end for end and then did the other end. The ridge in the middle is just me staying away from those spinning jaws which created a high spot.
Checks on the way. Stop pimping my brush out. Brush whores will be trying to steal it.
Black an white looks great Andrew. Reminds me of a fancier omega big pro. Great brush.
purdy! though not my style, still... purdy!
I totally dig it! It reminds me of my (almost!) NOS Carl Monkhouse from the 50's, which is enameled with a boar knot.
Andrew's version should last much longer and be better for the badger-fan!
I've been Jonsing for an old brush style. Even thought about buying an oldie on eBay and having it restored.
But, working in a medical field I can't get around the mental heebie-jeebie's of sterilization.
I can autoclave an old blade and I'm fine.
So, I contacted the guy with the HarryWally to make one from a pic.
And, I have another one being made by gssixgun.
I thought why not share the love you two great artisans!
Plus, mycarver is working over two Wade Butchers.
I can't wait to have all the toys back in house.
2 first names, both my grandfathers. Harry Moss and Wally Fuller. Just so you know. :)Quote:

Thanks for including me with 2 Great Artists! Both do amazing work.
Medical field eh? You should see the 2nd degree burns I have on my wrist. Only 4 days old when I turned your brush. HA!
Well, I am certain you autoclaved the brush before sending............Andrew? :p
Well, sorta. A good ol spit shine took care of everything! ;)
A beautifully done Vintage Barbers Style Brush. As usual your workmanship is extremely impressive. Kudos and congrats to the lucky owner!
If Scareface does not want to risk your wrists (or your spit!) , you can always send it my way!
Just saying....:w A lovely (if not contaminated) Brush! :roflmao
Yeah I know! But you didn't have to rub my phobia my face.:soapbox:
But guess what, I own two autoclaves plus all the cold sterile to get a Wally that's Harry off of my brush! ( I know the acrylic won't with stand the autoclave so don't point that out)
Now I'll have to soak it for two days. Thanks for making me now all boogered up about Andrew germs.:rofl2:
You guys cracked me up at the end of a rough day!
THANKS (penii)";":y
You don't need to worry! Andrew takes reasonable precautions. Any new knot I use gets a few tablespoons of Oxyclean in a coffee cup to fizzle the knot out and a pile of rinsing. Clean enough for me!
'I'm not dead yet'
Tom
An autoclave doesn't work nearly as well as the Coodie spray I bought from China. The stuff works well at getting rid of all types of coodies. Even keeps girls away. I use to use it all the time back in grade school. Great stuff! I'll send a spray can with your brush Scareface!
