Glad it worked for you, I had my fingers crossed. I worry about making a suggestion that worked for me only to have it turn to crap when someone else tries it. Post a pic when you get her reset.

I had two nearly identical brushes. I have temporarily set the knot with a small dab of rubber cement in the hopes that it will last for one lather, if it does I will epoxy it at that height. Here is an as was next to the temporarily set knot.

Great work man, looks like you came down about 5mm.Have used clear Silicone in the past for temp knot setting.
Works well.Only PITA is getting all that stuff out so The Epoxy will set properly.
I think that is about right. I know they will likely never make it to my favorite brush shelf but they hopefully will make great travel brushes or better give away brushes which is what I was hoping for when buying some cheap brushes. I have some epoxy standing by for the final set of the two. The second brush is steaming now.
So how do I fix my picture?
Edit it on your comp, delete the old, repost the new. At least that's what I always do
Glad to see this worked Shaun. This has been a great thread and I'm sure it will be useful down the road for many different members.
It isn't sideways on my computer, that is why it surprises me. I will try turning it sideways and reposting it.
For the record I did the second brush today. The epoxy is quite easy to clean up if you get it while it is hot, not so much if you let it cool. The second knot I set a little deeper. I have lathered with them both and the deeper set one is more to my preferences. I think I may have to buy some more super cheap brushes for give aways. No matter how you shave it always gets better with a half decent brush and some good soap.
That's a very cool project! I'm glad it worked out for you twice. It's too bad when my elchepo brush went bad I didn't take the time to reset it I tossed both handle and what was left of the knot. It started shedding freely till it fell out. Had I know about this site and the knot suppliers I've now found on here I would have likely ordered a new knot and had a nice brush. I didnt mind the handle.
Thanks for posting
