Details please. Method(s)involved. Casting or blow pipe?
AWESOME! It seems blue? Take a better picture, willya? Go around to the other side of the truck!
Can you make wine bottles too? Just curious! ;)
Ya Ya! Need a better pic. Looks good in this photo too though.
Very cool! Yes I agree you need a better pic!
That's the Dark Knight brush,,,,,:D
Yes, I am a very poor photographer. It's always an afterthought. If I do better on subsequent ones, I'll post better pics.
Cobalt blue glass from some broken glassware. Step 1: turn a blank from wax. Step 2, pour plaster around it Step 3, melt out mold in oven Step 4, beg wife not to kill me because I spilled wax in her oven. Step 5, burn out in kiln. Step 6, pile glass on top and fire in kiln. Step 7, resist urge to peek until kiln in totally cool. Step 8, remove plaster.
No...no wine bottles. Yet. Hollow forms are tough unless you are blowing glass because the plaster can't be effectively removed chemically except with HF, which would also dissolve the glass.
Great to see a different approach to brush making.
Well done, more pics please.
Go to SOTD and find some of Celestino's pics. He is a master at using sunlight to highlight his brushes.
