Olive wood handles

I've been working nights the past 2 days which leaves the house empty for me to do what I please while the kids are at school and my wife is teaching. I've been trying to make good use of my time by watching all of the Star Wars movies...... and turning some brush handles.:p

I completed the last 2 of the Olive wood brushes that will be heading out to Serbia. The wood came from a gentleman's front yard, which he harvested, dried for 10 years, and then sent to me. I turned him and his friends some handles, and I keep the rest of the wood. Nice little trade.

Man oh man do I love the smell of this stuff when you start cutting into it!!

Saturday my wife and I went and saw Rogue one..... Great movie. Gives A New Hope so much more depth. Sunday, I watched A new Hope, Monday I watched The Empire Strikes back, and Yesterday I watched Return of the Jedi. i'm about to start The Force Awakens right now. :rock:

Went speechless when I opened the package earlier today, these are impeccable @harrywallymossy. Above all, loved the personal note included. My friend, thank you so very much! This is the kind of thing I hope to be able to pass to my boys one day.

The knots aren't glued in yet. A few of these will go to friends, who helped make this happen. They are all thrilled so far, just looking at the photos!

Sharptonn reminded me of my other handle, Andrew made a while ago, now set with a HMW 30mm knot. Proud to say I tied this guy myself, set to around 50mm. For your viewing pleasure.

We go shave the Badger..........I've told you this before. Just another thread :rofl2:

If I understand correctly, this particular knot would require you to shave a few of them! Probably the most difficult part would be making them patiently wait in line ;)

Ah we got this, we'll just put up pin up Badger girl posters and give em cigars and good whiskey.



Then maybe we wouldn't have to shave them, they'd do it for us :idea:
