Alumilite & Burl brush

My first shot at turning a alumilite & Burl brush. So I have a question for you guys.
What should I do for a finish. sand to 12000k and polish or use some sort of finish like polyurethane?

I reckon you should make it nice n glossy, put a 26mm badger knot in and then sell it to me:)

A CA finish would work

I'd say let the bidding begin but that is against the rules..And also this one is mine so it got a 24mm synthetic knot. I think the color is a match.

Looks great. You really managed to bring out the grain in the wood.

I think you are right about the colour match to the knot.

Just sanded up to 12K and polished

Ooh, that would be good with a nice banded blond boar knot

That is a great looking handle.

Nice fusion, personally I always applied a finish that would adhere to the wood, but buff off the alumilite such as CA, or even a urethane I’ve used successfully. Also oils and bees wax finishes depending on the wood I added to the alumilite.
