So awhile back, like July :p Bayamonte/Nelson sent me a Brush Knot to try out, things got a bit hectic between then and now and I switched gears twice :rofl2:
I finally decided exactly what I wanted to do with this one, I hope I get this right, the knot IIRC is a 22mm Finnish Black Badger, loft is set at 52mm, OAL is 120mm or about 5 inches..
I turned the Lignum Vitae handle myself into one of my favorite styles, actually for myself I like the KISS principle, although the Lignum is one of the densest woods out there I was rather surprised with how long the bubbles kept rising when I put it in the Vacuum Chamber, I let it go for 48 hours, and dried the handle for two weeks.. The finish is Daly's Seafin Marine wood sealer..
The pic tonight is brand new right after I epoxied in the knot, I will put up another pic once the knot has been used, to show the bloom :)
Many thanks again for the knot Nelson
