hand turned brush
Hey All,
finished another brush the other day. Silver tip badger knot from TGN, Buffalo Horn Handle and Reconstituted Turquoise Cap.
i am working on a razor with the same horn for the scales and a wedge of the same turquoise to match up.
Anyhoo, as i do not yet have a workshop or lathe, this brush is hand turned - meaning i drilled knot hole with cordless hand drill and spade bit. Shaped horn with rasp and files. Then placed emery cloth in palm of left hand and twisted {turned} brush around and around and around and around..... you get the idea.:w... up through various grits of wet dry and then micro mesh. Not perfect, but pretty happy with it.
Adam.

Very nice work, i do like the fact that it was hand turned.

Now that's what I call a real handmade brush.

Incredible.. Great work!!

Thanks all.
i am not addicted to doing things the hard way. Just do not want to wait until everything in place. This way i kep things happening. A lathe is definitely on the must have list. :)

I admire your devotion to the art. Can't say I would have been able to endure the same task. Did your hands get a little crampy during this? Well done!!
