I recently found an ornate silver brush/mug combo in need of repair. Here's my problem. It seems to me that the brush I want to restore is going to be in the 17mm range, yet so far all I've found at thegoldennib is 18mm. Are these sized precisely, or are the actual knots made a little smaller to fit the desired measured handle hole/cavity/thingy?
They have a 16mm finest 2 band. Set it a bit deeper and you'll have a nice scritchy brush. I have a couple, 2 bands sitting here ready for handles, they're nice knots.

It probably wouldn't take much to open the handle up a mm either though. A dremel with a drum sander should make pretty short work of it.
